Cambodia
Cambodia is a religiously homogenous country where Theravada Buddhism is the state religion and the primary cultural framework for over 97% of the population. While the nation is overwhelmingly Buddhist, it maintains small but distinct minority communities, including Muslims, Christians, and indigenous animists. Though the constitution protects religious freedom, Buddhism holds a privileged legal and social status, serving as a fundamental pillar of Cambodian national identity.
CCI began its training ministry in Cambodia in 2020. Sitha Dourng serves as the National Director of CCI Cambodia. He faithfully oversees a rapidly growing ministry that is equipping believers across the country. Under his leadership, CCI Cambodia now includes 3 Area Coordinators, 26 teachers and over 275 students.
God continues to expand this ministry through Sitha’s leadership, the dedicated CCI staff, and 419 graduates who are actively serving in local churches. Together, they are equipping men and women to become mature, reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ, strengthening local churches, and advancing God’s work throughout the country.
Your gift of any amount is important to help equip pastors who are multiplying the Word of God to many people. Will you partner with us to equip leaders in Cambodia?
