Laos

Theravada Buddhism is the primary religion in Laos (66%), often practiced alongside Tai folk religion (animism), which is the main belief system for 30.7% of the population. Christianity (mostly Protestant and Catholic) represents 1.5% to 2.8%, while other faiths like Islam and Baháʼí make up less than 1%.

CCI began its training ministry in Laos in 2014. Our National Director faithfully oversees a rapidly growing ministry that is equipping believers across the country. Under his leadership, CCI Laos now includes 4 Area Coordinators, 5 teachers and over 145 students.

God continues to expand this ministry through CCI leadership, the dedicated CCI staff, and 211 graduates who are actively serving in local churches. Together, they are equipping men and women to become mature, reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ, strengthening local churches, and advancing God’s work throughout the country.
