From the President: Made in God’s Image

In Genesis 1:26-31, we read that God created (us) man in His image. He gave us the capacity for appreciating order, beauty, purpose, and design. But within two chapters, we see that sin entered the world and began destroying all that God created. Sin marred the world of beauty, purpose, order, and design that God had initially created. Evil and wickedness entered the world and man craved these things in his heart (Gen. 6:5). Yet, the Lord Jesus Christ came to redeem us from our sin and slavery and give us a purpose. Through the second birth and the power of the Holy Spirit, God can use us to change the world and recover the creative abilities God endowed upon us at creation that demonstrate His image in us, reflecting beauty, purpose, design, and order.
