Investing in God’s Harvest is one of the highest callings given to every believer. Throughout Scripture, God uses the imagery of sowing, planting, and harvesting to describe how His Kingdom operates. In John 4:35, Jesus urges His disciples, “Lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest.” In other words, the opportunity to make an eternal impact is already before us. The world is hungry for hope, truth, and love; and God invites us to invest our lives in this divine work. But like any wise investor, we must recognize that sowing into God’s field requires intentionality, patience, and sacrifice.
We invest in God’s harvest through our time by praying, discipling, encouraging, and building others up. We invest through our resources by giving generously to missions, ministries, and those in need. And we invest through our talents by using every gift God has placed within us to serve His purpose.
