At the end of last month, we had the joy of hosting a visit for one of our supporters. He joined us for a church service, attended our Old Testament Survey class, and experienced the local culture through meals at a few restaurants. He also participated in a men’s fellowship and even attended a baby shower with us! This visit was incredibly encouraging—not just for us but for him as well. As he met many of the people we serve, he felt a deeper connection to the ministry and a renewed commitment to praying for the work here in Mexico.
After an early morning airport run to Phoenix at 3 a.m. to see our guest off, we had the privilege of helping with “Night to Shine,” a special event hosted by the Tim Tebow Foundation. This event gives individuals with special needs a night to be celebrated and honored. In many places, including Mexico, those with disabilities often go unnoticed and have limited opportunities. One of the churches we partner with, Family of God, has a wonderful special needs program where participants create crafts and sell them at local markets to support their ministry.
