Teacher Training Workshop
The TTW is a two-day training event focused on training pastors and church leaders who would take what they have learned and go teach it to others in their local and global context. CCI uses the comprehensive training materials of the Bible Training Centre for Pastors’ (BTCP) curriculum as a foundation. The 10 courses include 520 “in class” hours and another 200 hours “out of class” doing assignments and reading through the Bible.
Prerequisites: Completed theological training in a formal or non-formal standing, practical ministry experience, and pastoral recommendation.
Resolving Conflict in a Godly Way
A one-day seminar developed by Dr. David Nelson based upon what the Bible says about conflict and how to resolve it. This course examines four types of conflict: intrapersonal (within oneself), interpersonal (between individuals), intraorganizational (within an organization), and interorganizational (between groups). It discusses how conflict arises from our sinful nature and collaborative efforts, and how God can use it to enhance our abilities as servants, as seen in the examples of Joseph and David.
Seminar on Advanced Expository Preaching
We provide training for sermon preparation through the Seminar on Advanced Expository Preaching (SAEP), helping you understand the text in the context of the time and culture it was written and then, how to make relevant application for today.
The Cross Before the Crown
Developed by David Nelson based upon 2 Timothy 2:1-26. In today’s world, there are many ideas about leadership. In 2 Timothy 2, we discover seven pictures of church leadership which give us a robust picture of God’s desires and expectations for Christian leaders. In this seminar, we also study about what the Bible teaches about ministry, being a follower of Christ, spiritual gifts, and ministry fruitfulness.
