Vietnam: The Impact of Graduation Ceremonies on the Local Church

In the past, we did not pay much attention to where or when graduation ceremonies were held, as long as the timing and location were most convenient for the teachers and students. However, we now recognize that holding the graduation ceremony right in the church during the Sunday morning worship service has a profoundly positive impact on the congregation, ministry workers, and even the families of the graduates. On April 6th, for the first time, we held the graduation ceremony in the church. Although it was difficult for some teachers to attend due to their responsibilities in their own churches, combining the graduation with Sunday worship and having many teachers present brought great benefits to both the graduates and the local believers.

First, this practice affirms that these workers have been thoroughly trained to lead and guide others. It fosters recognition from the faith community and a sense of collective support, motivating them to live and teach God’s Word faithfully (1 Timothy 4:16).
