Guatemala’s religious landscape has shifted from a Catholic majority to one of Latin America's most diverse Christian populations. Currently, Protestants and Evangelicals make up approximately 45% of the population, followed closely by Roman Catholics at 42%. The remaining demographic includes 11% who are unaffiliated and 2% who practice traditional Indigenous Mayan beliefs.

CCI began its training ministry in Guatemala in 2019. In May 2022, the CCI leadership appointed Ray McKenzie as the Regional Director for Central America. This was followed by the appointments of Otto Echeverria as Country Coordinator, Hamid Gutiérrez as Western Regional Coordinator, and Charlotte Hernandez Tello as the National Office Coordinator in August 2022.

God continues to expand this ministry through Otto’s leadership, the dedicated CCI staff, and 23 graduates who are actively serving in local churches. Together, they are equipping men and women to become mature, reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ, strengthening local churches, and advancing God’s work throughout the country.

Your gift of any amount is important to help equip pastors who are multiplying the Word of God to many people. Will you partner with us to equip leaders in Guatemala?
