From the President: Lives Shaped by the Word of God

In Acts 6:7, we read that “the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem” (NKJV). As a result of the apostles resolving the cultural conflict, godly leadership was appointed to serve the neglected, Greek widows. As a result, the gospel spread through new leadership, and the conflict was resolved.

God’s Word has the power to change lives (Rom. 1:16; Heb. 4:12). The gospel is a message man would not have created if he could, and could not have invented it if he would!

When God’s Word takes root, it also sustains His servants through hardships and trials! This becomes obvious as we continue reading the rest of the story in the Book of Acts. Paul faced many trials, hardships, and opposition. God’s Word and God’s Spirit enabled and empowered him to endure those hardships.
