Indonesia: Strengthening the Church

We praise God for the steady work taking place throughout Indonesia during May. CCI Indonesia continued to faithfully strengthen existing training efforts, encourage teachers, and build relationships that could open doors for future classes.

In Bali and other regions, pastors and ministry leaders expressed strong interest in the CCI curriculum as they look for ways to better equip church workers and missionaries with sound biblical training. In Manokwari, four participants committed to begin a new class and ordered books, with plans to start learning in June. Encouragement was also given to struggling classes, including efforts to restart learning in Gorontalo after a period of inactivity.

Across Indonesia, classes continued helping pastors and church leaders grow in their understanding of God’s Word. Last month, I had the opportunity to strengthen and encourage teachers. Because many instructors are new to teaching, I hosted an online training focused on practical teaching methods and classroom encouragement. Teachers who participated shared how helpful the training was in building their confidence and giving them fresh ideas for leading their classes well. Alumni fellowship gatherings in West Sulawesi also brought encouragement, helping graduates stay connected and motivated to continue growing and serving in ministry. Read the Full Update
