Myanmar: Sharing Hope

Grateful to the Lord for His love and faithfulness to His children. We give all glory to Him! In April, people across Myanmar celebrated the Thingyan Water Festival, which marks the Myanmar New Year. It is a special season when families return to their hometowns, share traditional meals, and spend time together during the public holiday. It is also a time when many people focus on acts of kindness, helping the elderly, giving to those in need, and serving through volunteer work.

Believers in Christ look for opportunities during these celebrations to share the hope of the gospel through practical acts of love and ministry in their communities.

Pastor M and his team visited a prison twice last month to share the hope found in Jesus Christ. Many prisoners heard about Jesus for the first time and expressed a desire to learn more if given the opportunity. Pastor M and his students also worked together to dig a water well more than 20 feet deep to provide clean drinking water for the community. The project took three weeks to complete with the help of local young people. Read the Full Update
