Marvelous work is happening in Central America. Classes are meeting all over Guatemala, and new classes are about to begin in Honduras. I have been so proud of the way our teachers have ministered to Jorge Xicara during his wife’s sickness and eventual death. They have been a tremendous encouragement to him. Pastor Hamid took Jorge with him on an overnight trip to Huehuetenango a couple of weeks ago. These proved to be wonderful days of rest for Jorge. He needed to get away from home, where he had spent months caring for his wife during her last days.
The classes in Huehuetenango are going great. It has taken several years to get these classes started, but God has been faithful to nudge these two pastors to start teaching. Getting these classes started was truly a team effort. God brought us partners who financed fresh water wells at both of these churches, which opened the doors. Pastor Hamid has been very diligent in encouraging these two pastors and assisting them in the process. Continue to pray for Pastor Victor and Pastor Manolo as they teach. Read the Full Update
