Hope Amid Hardship in Haiti
Government systems have collapsed. Gangs rule the streets. Over 85% of Port-au-Prince is now under gang control, according to the latest UN estimates. Pastors are kidnapped. Churches are burned. And yet, amid the violence and fear, God is at work.
The violence has reached staggering levels: At least 5,601 people were killed in gang-related violence in Haiti in 2024 alone. The crisis has only intensified in 2025, with over 2,660 homicides recorded in just the first three months, representing a 41% increase from the previous quarter.
