Celebrating Heritage, Building Community, and God’s Provision
September marked a special time of celebration for both Mexico and the United States. In Mexico, it’s the month of independence, and in the United States, we observe Hispanic Heritage Month. We were honored to be invited to Bethel Baptist Church, one of the many churches where we have the privilege of teaching our curriculum. It was a joy to celebrate with the community! Keith had the fun opportunity of serving as a judge for their salsa contest, and afterward, we enjoyed a delicious meal of Mexican favorites, including Tinga (shredded chicken), tacos, Jell-O in the colors of the Mexican flag, and Mexican rice. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, especially since we would usually be teaching on that day.
Women’s Conference Preparation: A Time of Growth and Leadership
In the midst of all the celebrations, Jenny and a small group of women have been working hard behind the scenes to prepare for next year’s Women’s Conference. They’ve been prayerfully considering three themes, from which Jenny will develop the conference schedule and menu. As part of the planning, they’ve asked Keith to assist with the audio and video production, using his skills and experience in this area. This will be a huge blessing to the women attending the conference.
This year marks Jenny’s second time as part of the conference, and she’s excited to take on more responsibility.
